Boys Grow To Be Like The Men They Spend Time With
God created every part of who we are and cares about each part. Our ministry seeks to recognize this by providing program materials, traditions, events, and a culture designed to develop a boy in 4 key areas: mentally, spiritually, physically and socially. Though this model is time tested and scientifically proven to grow healthy well rounded boys, we find our foundation for this approach in the Word of God. In Luke 2:52 we see that “Jesus increased in wisdom, stature and in favor with God and man.”
We seek to equip the men in local churches to point boys and young men to Jesus and to help them grow in the way and into the kind of man that He is.
Mental
“Come, let us reason together, says the Lord …” God gave us minds and calls us to engage our thinking in such a way that we “take every thought to the obedience of Christ.” CSB seeks to help boys to use their minds to engage with God’s Word and with the world around them that He created.
Spiritual
How a sinful man or boy can be made right with a holy God is the most fundamental question we can ask. And second only to that is how a redeemed man or boy can grow in his reconciled relationship to God. For “what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his soul?” Mark 8:36
Physical
Though our relationship to God is not determined by our strength, height, or agility, God gave us bodies and has called us to steward these precious gifts in a way that will honor him so that “whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Social
God has not created us to live in isolation. He redeems us into a spiritual family and has placed that family in the midst of a world in desperate need of hearing the same news God has been gracious to share with us. Helping Boys understand their place in the church and the world is a vital component of our ministry.
The Advantage Of A Guided Weekly Meeting
The heart of our ministry is gospel oriented discipleship that often finds expression in form of a weekly meeting. The weekly meeting provides a consistent time and place within our busy lives to make sure that discipleship is taking place. Through the use of the materials that we provide, all four areas of personal growth are encouraged in the boys and young men, with each part of the meeting provides for one on one, small group and large group discipleship.

Guiding The Boy Through 12 Years of Growth
The Trail Books facilitate a strong foundation in the 4 areas of personal growth outlined above. They are structured to facilitate the involvement of the boy’s mentor helping him learn early on that he’s not alone in his journey. The Trail Book, in addition to providing good content, provides a point of contact between the boy and the man discipling him.
Leaders Guides
Guiding The Man Through Each Meeting
The Leaders Guides provide everything that a man needs to lead the weekly meeting. Games, projects, stories, Bible lessons, and memory work are all provided in an easy to use format. Each Leaders Guide is broken into a four week module built around an interest area with a related spiritual focus helping the boy to grow as a whole person.

Helping to Sharpen and Equip
Over our decades of service we have compiled supplemental resources to assist men and dads in their task of discipleship. From resources on leading a father son outing, responding to discipline situations during a meeting, books on games, to a complete leader training program, these resources are available to help our leaders.
Using Achievement
Discipleship and teaching are not the same thing. Growing in knowledge is a vital component to discipleship, but discipleship has far more to do with learning to be like the men we follow than the information that we are given.
So our achievement process is not just about earning badges, instilling a sense of accomplishment in a young man, or even teaching new skills. Relationships with mature Christian men is the heart of our discipleship ministry and our achievement program is the backbone to that process of growth.
We use achievement to build a bridge between boys and Christ and between boys and Godly men. This is done at the same time the boys are learning important things about God, themselves, others, and how to live in this world in a way that will glorify God.
